Haun Welding Supply is a fourth-generation business serving New York, Vermont, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Northern Pennsylvania through 22 locations. We specialize in distributing welding supplies, industrial equipment, compressed and liquid gases, and also offer welding training and repair services. Haun Specialty Gases, established in 2005, operates a high-efficiency gas fill plant, manufacturing industrial, medical, and high-purity specialty gases. These gases are distributed in liquid form and via over 100,000 cylinders and dewars.

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cryogenic Field Service Technician located in Syracuse, NY. The technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of cryogenic systems and related equipment. Key tasks include performing preventive maintenance on gas distribution systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, ensuring safe handling practices of cryogenic materials, and maintaining detailed service documentation.

The role requires collaboration with customers and internal teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and service satisfaction.

• Technical skills in cryogenic systems, mechanical systems, and equipment repair
• Demonstrated ability to perform system troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Familiarity with gas distribution systems, safety protocols, and regulations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with clients and internal teams
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment relevant to cryogenic system maintenance
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as required
• Experience in welding, HVAC, or related technical fields is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training preferred
