Job responsibilities include:
- Follow Safety and Company Policies
:
Adhere to all company procedures, especially safety protocols like electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and hot work; complete monthly safety inspections and coordinate annual fire extinguisher checks. - Operate and Repair Equipment
:
Learn to operate and repair a wide range of equipment (e.g., furnaces, sealant machines, forklifts, cranes); coordinate with manufacturers for complex repairs. - Support Preventive Maintenance
:
Follow maintenance schedules, assist with the plant maintenance program, and document all tasks performed. - Maintain Clean and Safe Work Areas
:
Keep tools secure and work spaces clean, safe, and organized. - Assist Production and Drive Improvements
:
Help with production as needed, interpret blueprints, troubleshoot equipment, and suggest ways to improve products, services, and operations.
- PLC Expertise
- Well-Rounded Maintenance Skills
:
Experienced in universal maintenance across various systems and equipment. - VFD Proficiency
:
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). - Electrical and Schematic Knowledge
:
Familiar with 24
VDC control circuit wiring; ability to read technical drawings, with European schematics as a plus. - Industry Experience
:
Glass plant experience is a plus.
