Essential Job Functions:
- Able to read, write and analyze electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Use all types of testing instruments.
- Must have broad knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specification codes and handbook formulas along with a working knowledge of PLC's, VFD's, Motor Control, and Power Distribution.
- Determine proper type, size of materials and equipment for the job, including power requirements.
- Perform electrical work requiring high degree of trade skill to install, test, inspect, adjust, repair and wire all plant equipment and circuits to required voltages and tolerances.
- Able to locate, diagnose and remedy troubles quickly to avoid shutdowns.
- Adjust all plant equipment to proper operating characteristics.
- Able to fabricate material to be used for electrical equipment.
- Operate shop trucks for handling materials.
- Adhere to all company safety policies including the proper use of PPE.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree in electrical engineering or alike field is preferred.
- Trade certifications from organizations such as BOCES or MACNY highly desirable.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in an alike role.
- 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing setting, especially a foundry, is highly desirable.
- $34.17 - $36.88 per hour.
- Overtime after 8 hours in a day and after 40 hours in a week.
