Position Title
Security Officer – MOC Garage

ShiftDay Shift – 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Schedule includes working a weekend and holiday rotation.
DescriptionThis position provides security presence in the Hospital garage and performs other duties as assigned, enforcing security-related policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees, visitors, patients, and physical properties. $1,500 Full Time New Hire Sign on Bonus. A valid NYS driver’s license is required.

Position SummaryEnforces security-related policies and procedures to provide a safe and secure environment for all, and performs other duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals.
Education, Training, Experience, Certification and Licensure- NYS certification as a Security Guard is required.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years security experience highly desirable.
- College-level coursework in criminal justice is a definite plus, but not required.
- BLS/CPR certification and first aid training required.
- Participates in orientation and continuing education and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
- Ability to diffuse and handle violent physical situations calmly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Clinical and outdoor setting. Exposure Class I.
Physical DemandsMedium work: standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
Work Contact GroupAll services, medical staff, patients, visitors, contractors, vendors, various regulatory agencies.

Pay Range$19.00 - $26.50 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Pay may vary with location. Exempt positions under FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
