** About the position
** We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven professional to join our Syracuse, NY office. The successful candidate will assist the Commercial Strategic Accounts Sales organization by providing pre-sale and post-sale support to our top-tier customers. ** General Responsibilities
*** Review plans and specifications to develop HVAC systems solutions.
* Effectively and professionally communicate requirements with customers and internal teams.
* Adapt to customer specific requirements.
* Provide HVAC equipment selections, both new and replacements.
* Provide technical support for the sales of commercial air conditioning systems to customers and their respective consulting engineers.
* Seek new business opportunities by responding to RFQ's for new and/or existing customers.
* Ability to coordinate across multiple functions, to maintain composure in fast-paced situations, and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* Support Sales Managers and Sales Coordinators with new and existing accounts and the introduction of new products.
* Have a combination of excellent technical skills, be a self-starter, with strong business understanding, strong self-direction, and excellent interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers.
** Required Qualifications
*** High school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of HVAC industry sales experience OR associate’s degree with 1+ years of HVAC industry sales experience, OR bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field.
* Ability to travel up to 5% domestically.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** HVAC experience or knowledge of HVAC designs – Commercial Applied Equipment experience a plus.
* Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, and sense of ownership.
* Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with both external customers and a multi-functional team of sales, engineering, manufacturing & marketing associates.
* Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills.
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to prioritize multiple priorities.
* Unwavering customer service orientation.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
