Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely opening and closing of the dining room and proper delivery of room service orders.
  • Maintain a clean and pleasant dining environment while ensuring meals are appetizing.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards.
  • Plan daily menus in accordance with company standards.
  • Manage staffing coverage for shifts, adjusting as necessary for absences.
  • Collaborate with the Dining Room Manager on weekly scheduling within budget.
  • Support service staff during meals and assist with greeting and seating residents.
  • Oversee staff and special events in the absence of the Manager.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations within the dining services team.
  • Foster positive relationships with inter-department personnel to ensure excellent food service delivery.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates who hold a one-year certificate from a college or technical school. One to two years of related experience is required, along with prior supervisory experience.

Certifications:

Current Serv Safe Certification is required, along with any necessary local, state, or county food handling licenses.

Knowledge and

Skills:

We are looking for individuals with a friendly and energetic personality, who enjoy working with seniors. Effective communication skills and the ability to follow directions are essential. Candidates should be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • May require occasional weekend or evening work for shift coverage.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
