Registered Nurse​/CCU

Position: RN – Critical Care
Location: Syracuse, New York (13210)
Shift: Night Shift | 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend and some holidays required

Position Overview:
Seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses for the Adult ED/ICU Holding Unit in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. The RN will provide high-quality patient care for critically ill adult patients awaiting ICU placement while performing comprehensive assessments, monitoring patient status, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care.

Requirements:

• Active New York State RN license

• BLS certification required (must be able to maintain/recertify)

• Minimum 1.5–2 years of recent ICU/Critical Care experience within the past 2 years

• ICU experience required;
  Emergency Department experience preferred

• Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers

• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of similar or larger size/trauma level

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care nursing for adult patients in ED/ICU holding

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and follow physician-directed treatment plans

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and coordinated patient care

• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
