Psychiatry - Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program - Per Diem Nurse Practitioner

St. Joseph’s Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Per Diem Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP BC) to join our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) team in Syracuse, NY. This advanced practice role is essential in assessing, diagnosing, and stabilizing patients experiencing acute behavioral health crises while working within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for patients within a high-acuity setting
• Facilitate appropriate referrals for inpatient admission or outpatient psychiatric follow up
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including psychopharmacologic interventions and crisis stabilization
• Document clinical assessments and treatment interventions in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standard

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other emergency department staff to ensure coordinated care

• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP BC)
• Experience in emergency psychiatry, acute care, crisis stabilization, or behavioral health preferred, not required

• $75.00 per hour
