Our unit cares for patients admitted to our hospitalist service with specialties in a variety of acute medical and respiratory conditions.
We provide a collaborative environment with support from the charge nurse and onsite virtual nurses to meet patient needs.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate, communicate & facilitate optimal provision of care through computerized and/or digital platforms to support daily management of care.
Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge.
Utilize clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and case management and adult education principles to coordinate and support the plan of care.
Monitor quality metrics specific to the department and ensure complete and accurate documentation in the patient record.
Ensure quality care is rendered in accordance with applicable regulatory and professional standards.
Maintain current knowledge of healthcare economics, trends, and reimbursement methodologies and apply knowledge to daily practice; recognize situations needing immediate intervention; continue professional development.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in the State of New York.
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred, in accordance with NYS requirements.
Specialty credentialing and educational degree preferred according to clinical practice area.
Maintains all licensures and certifications as required by NYS regulations and specialty areas.
Participation in continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills in areas of expertise.

Pay Range: $37.60 - $58.35 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under FLSA are paid within the base salary range. The range may vary by location.
