The SUNY Upstate Electrophysiology Lab is seeking a Registered Nurse to:

• Document activities of patient care and testing.
• Assist physicians in testing and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias in the Electrophysiology lab.
• Communicate test results to cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nursing staff, and case managers.
• Participate in continuing education, research, and patient teaching.

The RN will administer medication for moderate sedation and take part in diagnostic and treatment procedures within the Electrophysiology Lab. The role also involves patient care in related departments such as the Cath Lab, Cardiac Rehab, and ECHO Lab.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• NYS RN licensure (or eligible).
• At least 2 years of Cardiac Care nursing experience, preferably in ICU/critical care.
• CPR/BLS certification required at the time of appointment.
• Ability to handle physical aspects of patient care, including moving patients and equipment, and participate in rotating on-call schedules.

Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification is preferred.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with flexible days and rotation for late case coverage.
