ShiftOur emergency department is a fast‑paced team of interdisciplinary professionals ready to promote and restore health to all who enter. The department offers paid training for ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, and a comprehensive orientation program. New staff are encouraged to work toward certification, which is recognized and compensated for by the hospital. Flexibility is built into scheduling so you can consistently provide excellent care to all patients.

The Registered Nurse participates in various roles to ensure quality patient care is delivered with optimum outcomes. RN roles range from direct patient care to supervisory or consultative services in various settings within our network. Nursing staff attend orientation classes that may include CORE EKG, end‑of‑life care, respiratory care, and numerous specialty courses depending on area of expertise.
What You Will Do- Collaborate, communicate, and facilitate optimal provision of care through a computerized and/or digital platform that supports daily management of care.
- Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge.
- Utilize clinical knowledge, critical‑thinking skills, and the principles of case management and adult education to coordinate, implement, and support the plan of care.
- Monitor quality metrics specific to the department and ensure complete and accurate documentation in the patient record.
- Ensure quality care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the New York Regulatory Agencies, National Standards of Practice, and Nursing and Clinical Service standards of care and practice.
- Maintain current knowledge of health‑care economics, trends, and reimbursement methodologies and apply this knowledge to daily practice. Recognize situations that require immediate intervention. Continue to develop professionally and apply skills necessary to provide care appropriate to each patient.
GN’s or RN’s with less than 1‑year experience should apply to the Graduate Nurse Residency positions.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in the State of New York.
- Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred, in accordance with NYS requirements.
- Specialty credentialing and educational degree according to clinical nursing practice specialty area preferred.
- Maintenance of all licensures and certifications according to NYS regulations and specialty area requirements.
- Participation in continuing education and the update and maintenance of knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
