The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiology CT area plays a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing cardiovascular CT imaging procedures, including CT angiograms and coronary calcium scoring. This nurse is responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, IV insertion, administration of contrast agents, patient monitoring, and care coordination before, during, and after the procedure.
The RN collaborates with cardiologists, CT technologists, and other cardiovascular care team members to ensure patient safety, comfort, and procedural efficiency. The role also involves patient education related to CT imaging and cardiovascular health, timely documentation, and readiness to respond to adverse reactions or emergencies.
This position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, technology-driven cardiac care environment.
Minimum QualificationsNY State licensed/registered RN. Prior outpatient experience (specialty area) is strongly preferred. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
Work ScheduleMonday - Friday, daytime hours
