Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Birth Place L&D

Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Birth Place / Labor & Deliver (L&D) eph’s Health. Part-time position in the Birthplace unit, providing family-centered nursing care in a high-risk/low-risk obstetric setting.

• Provide family-centered therapeutic nursing interventions, hands-on skills, patient and family education, goal setting, critical thinking and care planning.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (OB providers, certified nurse midwives, anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists, RNs, lactation consultants, OB technicians, social workers, spiritual care).
• Participate in precepting and mentoring students and new staff.

• Ensure quality nursing care for patients in accordance with the New York Nurse Practice Act, National Standards of Practice, and Nursing/Clinical Service standards.
• Plan, direct and supervise patient care using the Nursing Process and provide direct care to patients and families.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current LPN licensure, or eligibility in New York.
• One year of clinical experience with medication administration preferred.
• Participation in orientation and continuing education; maintain relevant knowledge and skills.
• Current BLS & CPR certifications.

• Clinical obstetric setting with standard exposure risks; ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally; standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching as required.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.70 per hour. Pay based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under FLSA will be paid within base salary range. Location-based variations may apply.
