Position Overview:

Join our team as an RN Critical Care specializing in Adult PACU at a premier Acute Care/Academic Medical Center in Syracuse. This role demands expertise in post-anesthesia care for adult patients within a dynamic critical care environment.

  • 6 x 12-hour shifts every 2 weeks (11:00 am
    -11:30 pm & 7:00 pm - 7:30 am)
  • Every 3rd weekend is required
  • No on-call

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Licensure: Active New York State RN License
• Certification:BLS certification (must be current or willing to recertify)
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an acute care facility (within the past 2 years)
  • PACU experience is required
  • Previous critical care experience is essential
• Technical Skills:EPIC EMR proficiency (strongly preferred)
• Soft Skills: Adaptability, critical thinking, and teamwork in fast-paced settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized post-anesthesia care for adult critical care patients.
• Monitor and manage patient recovery, complications, and pain control.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and patient management.
