Position Overview

Deliver specialized nursing care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical setting, focusing on burn, trauma, and general surgery patients. Join a collaborative team committed to excellence in outpatient care.

Qualifications
  • Education: ADN/BSN from an accredited program
  • Licensure: Active NY RN License
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of comparable size and levelas Hospital.
  • Must have experience in ambulatory, oncology or surgical settings.
  • Travel nurses must have experience in hospitals of equal or larger size or trauma centers
    .
  • Technical

    Skills:

    • BLS certification required; must be able to maintain/renew certification as needed.
    • EPIC EMR proficiency (preferred)
  • Soft Skills:
    • Patient education expertise
    • Team collaboration in high-volume settings
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care for surgical/trauma patients
  • Educate patients/families on post-procedure care
  • Coordinate with surgical teams for seamless care transitions
  • Maintain accurate EPIC documentation
  • Adhere to infection control protocols in specialty areas
