Locums Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a dynamic inpatient surgical team in Syracuse, NY. This locum tenens position provides the opportunity to work in a high-acuity, inpatient-only setting with a collaborative team of surgeons, nurses, and support staff.

• 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling, including days, nights, evenings, and weekends
• Call: 1-2 days per week, overnightemergency OR call (taken from home)
• Full-time availability preferred

• Inpatient only, no clinicresponsibilities
• Average service census: 15-20 patients, rounding on 3-5 per day
• Documentation:
  Epic EMR

• Conduct pre-op physical exams and assesspatient conditions
• Round on inpatient vascular surgery patients, coordinate care, and communicate with the healthcare team
• Diagnose and treat illnesses within scope of practice
• Order, interpret, and follow up on testsand labs
• Assist intraoperatively as firstassistant, including removal of dialysis catheters
• Perform procedures such as suture removal and post‑op care
• Prescribe medications as appropriate and coordinate follow-up care

• Active NY Nurse Practitioner or PAlicense
• Board certification or eligibility(NCCPA for PA; AANC for NP)
• ACLS and BLS certification
