Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilledPediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nursefor a prestigiousAcute Care / Academic Medical Centerin Syracuse, NY. This role involves providing high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced, Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center environment.

Qualifications:

• Education:Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Licensure:ActiveNew York State RN license(required).
• Experience:
• Minimum3 years of PICU experiencein aLevel 1 or Level 2 trauma center.
• Certifications:
• BLS & PALS (required).
• ACLS (preferred).
• Technical Skills:
• EMR experience (EPIC preferred).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong clinical assessment & critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes with appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility protocols.
