ESO Consultants is seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Adult OR at Upstate University Hospital’s Community Hospital location. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general surgery, orthopedics, trauma, neurosurgery, and robotic-assisted procedures. Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent OR experience and must be able to scrub. This contract includes a rotation of 4x8-hour shifts (07:00–15:30, 11:00–19:30) and 4x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30), totaling 80 hours biweekly.

• Provide perioperative nursing care for adult surgical patients across general, orthopedic, trauma, neuro, and robotic surgery specialties.
• Scrub and circulate during procedures while maintaining strict sterile techniques and OR safety standards.
• Assist surgeons during operations and anticipate instrumentation and equipment needs.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room, including equipment setup, robotic systems, and surgical instrumentation.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation (Epic experience preferred).
• Adhere to infection control practices, safety guidelines, and facility policies within a Level II trauma teaching hospital.
• Demonstrate competency with robotic-assisted surgical platforms and specialized OR technologies.
• Maintain high performance standards in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (Required)

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience (Required)
