Overview
Talent Consultants is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC) to join our client's manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on CNC machines and equipment. Your expertise is crucial in ensuring the continuous operation of machinery used in manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience with CNC machinery, and the ability to work collaboratively with production staff to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on CNC machines, including troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections to identify and address potential issues before they lead to equipment failure.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure machinery operates efficiently and effectively.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in the maintenance management system.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new CNC machines and equipment.
- Stay informed on the latest CNC technologies, best practices, and safety protocols.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to CNC machinery and maintenance practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in manufacturing technology or a related field is preferred.
- Journeymen or three (3) years of manufacturing maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade.
- Experience with ladder logic circuit diagrams, industrial motor control schematics, and blueprint reading.
- At least 3-5 years of experience working as a maintenance technician, specifically with CNC machinery.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and operating principles.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Background in machining and electrical equipment.
- Two-year degree in electronics with mechanical experience/military electronics experience.
- Experience with hydraulics.
