Material Handler

Material handlers process orders using technical drawings and other communication. They pull and move parts throughout the manufacturing facility, using either manual labor or equipment such as forklifts.

• Operate a power sweeper to keep factory aisles clean.
• Maintain a well‑maintained area and update parts inventory.
• Collaborate with internal departments to locate missing parts, correct orders and replace damaged products.
• Read and interpret measuring devices.
• Verify accuracy of quantity and quality of laser & plasma cut parts.
• Label each product and place them in designated locations.
• Perform daily lift truck inspections.
• Keep supervisor informed of any problems.
• Adhere to established safety rules and policies.
• Notify supervisor or safety director of unsafe acts or practices.
• Keep work area neat and orderly daily.
• Follow quality control standards to ensure quality and quantity requirements are met.
• Use hand truck, lift truck, or overhead crane to move work to and from designated storage, staging areas or workstations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Forklift certification (required).
• Experience with and willingness to learn warehouse machinery, including pallet jack and measuring tools.
• Participation in required training events (Lockout/Tagout, Haz Com, blood borne pathogen).
• Respectful treatment of coworkers.
