Commissary Helper-Commissary - Warehouse Ops

Job Description

Follow instructions and established procedures to perform a variety of cleaning duties.

The ability to read, write and follow instructions is necessary.

• Wash pots, pans and cooking utensils in the Commissary.
• Move materials into and out of storage areas in the Bake Shop and Salad Room.
• Clean offices, rest rooms, public areas and work areas in the Commissary including sweeping, dusting and mopping.
• Remove trash and garbage.
• Strip and wax floors.
• May help load and unload trucks.
• Observe safety regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation.

• Standing and/or walking 85% – 100% of the shift
• Frequent bending at the waist; able to bend to below the knee
• Twisting and bending of head and torso
• Full range of arm movement (extension, twisting, and bending of arm and shoulder, reaching overhead, wiping, etc.)
• Repetitive wrist movement (e.g. wiping, scrubbing, etc.)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to waist height
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs. overhead
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. for a distance of 20 feet
• Frequently work in conditions of extreme heat
• Ability to push and pull up to 250 lbs.
• Exposure to and handling of cleaning products, organic waste, dust

Operate a variety of equipment including vacuum cleaner, trash compacter, mop, broom, buffer, and dish washing machine.
