As Middle Market Underwriter, you’ll underwrite complex middle market accounts (workers' comp, general liability, commercial auto), focusing on both new business and renewals. You’ll handle loss-sensitive programs (large deductible, retro, captive) and work closely with regional and national brokers to grow a strong book of business across the territory.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of casualty underwriting with a carrier
- Experience with middle market and loss-sensitive deal structures
- Solid broker/agency relationships in the region
- Strong communication, marketing, and analytical skills
- Industry designations such as CPCU or ARM are highly desired
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
