Location: City of Syracuse
Job Summary:
The Employee/Labor Relations Assistant is an administrative-level position reporting to the Employee/Labor Relations section of the Human Resources department. This role will provide administrative services and assistance on a wide variety of Employee/Labor Relations and Human Resources matters. The E/LR Assistant will handle highly confidential & sensitive information associated with day-to-day contract administration and employee issues.
Main
Duties Include:
- Schedule meetings and manage calendars efficiently.
- Research background information on cases/grievances.
- Provide assistance to customers by responding to routine Employee/Labor Relations inquiries.
- Coordinate and prepare required documentation, including drafting correspondence and reports.
- Perform various administrative support tasks, such as transcribing disciplinary interrogation dictations, answering phones, scanning, and filing.
Bachelor’s degree OR Associates degree and two years of experience in an office setting required. Excellent written/verbal communication, computer and organizational skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors preferred.
Work Days:Monday-Friday, days
