JOB OVERVIEW:
Perform duties of Bellperson including assisting guests with luggage, performing pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport, assisting guests upon check-in and check-out and assisting with and checking luggage as needed.
$16.50 per hour
Reports ToGuest Services Manager/Bell Captain
Essential Job Functions- Show guests to room and assist them with their luggage after driving them from the airport to the hotel
- Explain all hotel facilities, their locations in the hotel, hours of operation, and answer questions about these facilities and other hotel services
- Check luggage for hotel guests for both day and overnight stays
- Maintain the designated station in the lobby and remain alert to be easily summoned for front desk needs
- Perform pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport for guests in a timely and friendly manner and inspect vehicles
MUST HAVE A VALID NY DRIVER'S LICENSE WITH GOOD DRIVING RECORD
Skills and Abilities- Ability to communicate in English; self-starting personality with an even disposition; maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times; communicate well with guests
- Willingness to “pitch in” and help co-workers; team player; ability to communicate with guests and have knowledge of hotel services and local area events
- Ability to drive vans, limousines and automobiles; excellent driving record as verified by a Motor Vehicle Report
- Ability to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or move packages, boxes and luggage up to 75 lbs with sufficient manual dexterity
- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and perform essential job functions; ability to bend, stoop, kneel and/or walk as required

Experience3 Years of experience; must have clean driving record and unexpired driver’s license
