Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for the Adult Emergency Department. Candidates should be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patient populations in a fast-paced acute care environment. Level I or Level II trauma experience is strongly preferred. This position requires working night shifts, including every other weekend and select holidays.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care in a busy Emergency Department setting.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver appropriate clinical interventions.
Manage care for adult and pediatric patients in an acute care environment.
Utilize EPIC Electronic Medical Records for documentation and patient management.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care.
Perform the majority of patient care skills with minimal orientation and supervision.
Maintain strong communication with patients, families, and team members.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of New York.
BLS certification (must be current or eligible for recertification).
Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the last 2 years) in a hospital of similar size and level.
Experience working in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers preferred.
Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred.
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have no history of professional license suspension or investigation.
Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim.
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Must successfully complete pre-employment health screening, drug screening, and criminal background check.
