Travel RN – Inpatient Pediatrics Float Pool (Nights)

Location: Syracuse, NY
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 2/27/26
Shift: Nights
Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
Schedule: 6 shifts per two-week period
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and some holidays required

Unit: Inpatient Pediatrics Float Pool

Position Details:

• Night shift RN supporting the Inpatient Pediatric Float Pool

• Will float to all pediatric inpatient locations

• May float to the Bio Behavioral Unit as a Medical Pediatric Nurse (no psychiatric care required)

• Facility is a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center

• EPIC experience preferred

Qualifications:

• Current New York State RN license

• BLS certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)

• Minimum of 1.5–2 years of recent pediatric acute care experience (within the past 2 years)

• Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center required

• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size/acuity

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills

Duties:

• Provide comprehensive pediatric nursing care in an acute inpatient setting

• Perform accurate assessments with minimal orientation and supervision

• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
