- Greet clients as soon as they arrive and connect them with the appropriate party.
- Check in / check out patients.
- Make appointments for patients calling the office and patients completing visits.
- Answer the phone in a timely manner and direct calls to the correct staff members.
- Retrieve faxes through electronic software and direct/scan them to the appropriate electronic record.
- Take and send via EPIC telephone messages / encounters to clinical staff and providers.
- Notify the practice manager of any complaints or problems.
- Prepare and mail patient correspondence.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
- Track patient appointment cancellations and no-shows; attempt to reschedule and send no-show letters; notify the practice manager.
- Other tasks within scope as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of office experience in a related environment.
- Proficient use of computers and other office equipment.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within healthcare.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills, with positive interpersonal abilities and strong organizational skills.
- Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a physician’s office with EPIC or an electronic medical record system.
Monday - Friday 8:15 AM – 4:45 PM
CompensationG3: $16.48 - $28.17
