Self‑Direction DSP – Syracuse Area (Job #LB-SR)
Direct Support Professional – Community Habilitation
ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Syracuse area with a gentleman who requires assistance due to accessibility needs. The individual is seeking a dedicated staff to provide him with support and assistance in maintaining independence both at home and within the community.
Responsibilities- Assist with transportation to activities within the community, including schooling at Syracuse University.
- Provide support with daily living skills at school and home.
- Help facilitate independence during daily activities.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Prior experience is a plus, but not required.
- Reliable, patient, enthusiastic support staff sought.
- Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire.
Work hours Monday – Friday based on class schedule, may be morning or afternoon. Approximately 25 hours per week at $28.00 per hour.
