Job Summary: The primary responsibility is patient check-out from a busy nurses' station, utilizing knowledge of systems such as EPIC, Synapse, CAIS, etc. Excellent verbal communication skills are required, including proficiency in overhead paging, proper documentation, and transferring phone calls. The role involves utilizing EPIC EMR for scheduling and ensuring patients receive necessary paperwork (prescriptions, orders, notes, AVS, etc.) at check-out.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is essential to prevent violations. The role includes coordinating patient flow to various departments and acting as a liaison between patients, physicians, and staff. The receptionist also maintains provider check-out logs and assists with emergency policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned by supervisors and providers.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent with two years of related medical secretary/office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
