Overview
Clinic Director – Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). Helio Health is looking for a seasoned Mental Health/ Substance Use Disorder clinician to join the leadership team of its Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This full‑time position is responsible for leading the Adult Services component of the CCBHC, managing the day‑to‑day functions and ensuring quality, evidence‑based services. As part of the CCBHC leadership team, this position works collaboratively with other Clinic Directors to implement opportunities for staff wellness initiatives.
The clinic leadership team, along with other organization leaders, uses data to inform practice for improved health outcomes and to execute the mission and values of Helio Health. Strong candidates for this position will have solid experience providing services to individuals with mental health and substance use issues, be familiar with NYS Offices of Mental Health and Addiction Services and Supports rules and regulations, and have demonstrated strong leadership skills.
We are looking for an individual skilled in responding to immediate clinic needs/crisis while modeling and coaching these skills for developing clinic staff. In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a Sign‑On Incentive up to $4,000 or $8,000 depending upon professional licensure. This is a salaried position with a range of $93,600 – $116,480 annually.
Maintain and provide supervision of program staff. Related duties include
Recruiting and selection of staff for employment.
Assure continuing process improvement and staff development.
Continuous staff performance evaluation and supervision.
Knowledge and responsibility for fiscal operation of program.
Assist in developing and managing clinic budget for clinic/building/staff management.
Implement Quality Improvement activities to include:
Recommend program standards and measurements for continuous quality improvement.
Manage problem resolution and implementation of supervisor‑approved program modifications.
Monitor CCBHC metrics and reporting requirements to assure they are met.
Participate in Management and Administrative committees as assigned.
Maintain program records and statistical accountability utilizing OMH and Helio Health data systems.
Represent agency to the community.
Other duties as assigned.
- Licensed Professional in the field of Counseling or Social Work (LMSW, LMHC, LCSW)
- Minimum four years clinical experience in an appropriate program setting.
- Minimum one‑year supervisory experience in an appropriate program setting.
- Minimum Master’s Degree required.
- Knowledge of substance use disorder and mental health diagnoses and support systems, and evidence‑based treatment and counseling principles.
- Knowledge of budgeting principles, resource management, and revenue maximization.
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License.

Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate’s education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
