Job Summary:

SUNY Upstate is seeking a highly motivated Advance Practice Provider Manager to join Upstate Cancer Center Team whose role will have a primary emphasis on administrative duties with a portion of their time dedicated to providing direct clinical care.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborating with a team of Advanced Practice Providers across Inpatient, Ambulatory, Offsite locations as well as working collaboratively with the entire interdisciplinary team.

Responsible for performance and professional development, recruitment & onboarding, quality improvement initiatives, billing & fiscal responsibilities, establishing strategic objective/operational criteria with teams.

As an APP
, you will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to Upstate’s mission, vision, and values, while adhering to all institutional policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • NYS Licensed/Registered NP or PA.
  • Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice.
  • Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
  • CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
  • Excellent written/oral communication, organizational & interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to maintain good public relations with patients, visitors, co-workers and other individuals.
  • 1-2 years demonstrated leadership experience.
  • 2+ years Advance Practice experience.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment and credentialing clearances.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Hematology Oncology experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel Teams and PowerPoint.
Work Days:

Monday - Friday, Days
