• Shift: Night
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Hours per Shift: 12
• Total Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Holidays: Some holidays required

Job Overview

A medical center is seeking experienced Pediatric ICU Registered Nurses for night-shift coverage. This role requires strong critical care expertise and the ability to provide high-quality, family-centered care in a fast-paced pediatric intensive care environment.
Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Perform detailed nursing assessments and continuous patient monitoring
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced life-support interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Respond effectively to emergencies and rapid clinical changes
• Accurately document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the EMR
• Support patients and families with compassionate, clear communication
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience (within the past 2 years)
• Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal orientation

Preferred Qualifications

• EPIC EMR experience
• Experience in large acute-care or trauma hospitals
• Pediatric critical care certifications
