Location: City of Syracuse
Overview
Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #SSMC-RB) ARISE/EFR is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in Syracuse with a young man with autism. He and his family are looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assist him with working on goals at home.
Responsibilities- Assist him to gain independent living skills and support him to pursue his hobbies and interests.
- May be asked to provide transportation, as needed.
- Dependable, patient, and enthusiastic.
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavior concerns is a plus.
- Reliable transportation, valid NYS driver's license, and a HS diploma/GED are required.
- Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
- Hours:
Approx 24 hours per week - Looking for three weekdays (can be flexible) / 9:00am-5:00pm
- Pay rate: $24.00 per hour
