Overview
Job Summary:
Perform duties of an MRI technologist, determine individual technique and protocol for prescribed examination and position patient properly. Reads and interprets physicians orders. Review and evaluate images to ensure satisfactory quality. Maintain clean examination room and equipment. Communicate with patients about their examination and procedure, and provide reassurance, as necessary. Perform identification procedure by verbally confirming with the patient before beginning a procedure.
Register patients, enter orders, and track patients using the RIS. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Must be customer service oriented and maintain a professional appearance at all times. Maintain the integrity of the MRI Zones, screen all patients before they enter the Magnet room

- Read and interpret physician orders.
- Review and evaluate images to ensure satisfactory quality.
- Maintain a clean examination room and equipment.
- Communicate with patients about their examination and procedure, and provide reassurance as necessary.
- Perform identification procedure by verbally confirming with the patient before beginning a procedure.
- Register patients, enter orders, and track patients using the RIS.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Be customer service oriented and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Maintain the integrity of the MRI Zones and screen all patients before they enter the magnet room.
- Associates Degree in Medical Radiography and License and Registration (ARRT) required.
- Must be certified (or willing to be certified) in IV contrast injections.
- May need additional certification, depending on specialty.
- Two years experience as a Medical Radiology Technologist.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
- Completion of an Accredited MRI course.
- Registered with the ARRT in MRI.
Monday through Thursday 10:00 am - 8:30 pm
