Job Summary
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide high quality professional Psychiatric services to patients on the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit 4B and the ED of University Hospital. Specific services to include diagnostic assessments, treatment and discharge planning, working in a multidisciplinary treatment team model.
Minimum QualificationsNYS licensed/registered Psychiatric NP required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have Master’s Degree, NPI number, DEA certification, medical malpractice insurance and be Medicare enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN). Eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC prior to hire. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
Preferred QualificationsPsychiatric inpatient/ED NP experience preferred.

SalaryL5: $92,000 - $147,200

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
