Offering an exciting opportunity to join our Radiology Department in an outpatient setting with responsibilities in General Radiography, Dexa and OR.
- Under supervision of administrator and staff accurately reads and interprets physician orders.
- Prepares patients for radiological procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
- Practices ALARA by minimizing radiation to patient and staff by collimation, patient shielding and exposure factors.
- Operates a C‑arm in the OR and has knowledge of sterile techniques.
- Coordinates patient flow, reviews images for diagnostic and technical quality. Demonstrates knowledge of a PACS, RIS and EMS operating systems.
- Checks equipment for proper functioning.
- Performs QA and calls for repairs/maintenance as per manufacturer’s guideline. Follow policies and procedures of SUNY, NYS DOH and DNV.
- Cleans and re‑stocks area.
- Assists fellow co‑workers in the department.
Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Medical Radiography. License and Registration (ARRT) required. May need additional certification, depending on specialty. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred 2 years experience.
Work Days:
M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, possible Saturdays & OT.
