Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team in Syracuse, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring the timely recovery of outstanding balances while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in collections and financial services within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

- Initiate and manage outbound collection calls to recover overdue payments from clients.

- Handle inbound inquiries related to billing and collections, providing clear and thorough assistance.

- Monitor and update accounts receivable records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline collection processes.

- Utilize accounting software and CRM tools to track payment statuses and document communication.

- Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations during all collection activities.

- Prepare reports on collection efforts and outstanding balances for management review.

- Assist with claim administration and billing functions as needed.

- Analyze accounts to identify and prioritize high-risk collections.

- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive financial information. Requirements - Proficiency in accounting software systems and CRM platforms.

- Experience with collections processes and accounts receivable management.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interactions.

- Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

- Familiarity with tools such as Epic Software, Accurint, and ADP Financial Services.

- Knowledge of billing functions and claim administration processes.

- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
