Estimator, Engineering, Civil Engineering

Cedar Park Group is seeking an experienced Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates, proposals, and project schedules for civil construction and environmental remediation projects. This role supports the full preconstruction cycle for work such as contaminated site remediation, soil excavation, and in-water dredging
, and serves as a key link between sales and project execution
. The ideal candidate has strong technical estimating experience, understands site work and earthwork, and can clearly communicate scope, assumptions, and pricing.

• Develop accurate cost estimates for civil construction and environmental remediation scopes (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors)

• Prepare written proposals
  , pricing narratives, and bid documents aligned to project requirements and regulations

• Build and maintain project schedules and bid timelines to support pursuit and execution planning

• Review project plans, specifications, reports, and site data to define scope and identify risks/constraints

• Coordinate with sales, operations, project managers, and field teams to validate approach, means/methods, and production rates

• Support takeoffs and estimating for excavation, earthwork, erosion control, site clearing, water/sewer
  , and dredging-related activities

• Track vendor/subcontractor quotes, compare coverage, and ensure scope alignment

• Participate in site walks and field reviews as needed; travel to project locations as required

• Maintain organized estimate files and documentation of assumptions, clarifications, and exclusions

• 5+ years of estimating experience
  , specifically within civil construction, excavation, or environmental remediation

• Strong knowledge of site work and earthwork
  , including erosion control, site clearing, excavation, and water/sewer scopes

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and construction/estimating software

• Strong writing, math, and communication skills

• Ability to travel as needed

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering
  , or equivalent field experience

• Familiarity with environmental compliance considerations and remediation project requirements (contaminated soil, disposal, dredging logistics)

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines

• Clear documentation habits (scope, assumptions, exclusions, and pricing support)

• Collaborative partner to sales and operations to set projects up for successful execution
