Job Overview
EDR is seeking versatile, team-oriented seasonal Field Technicians to join our Environmental Services group. Candidates will work in the Northeastern or Midwestern United States, based out of an EDR office in New York, Pennsylvania, or Ohio.
Responsibilities- Conduct wetland/stream delineations and related natural resource studies, including plant and avian identification.
- Travel up to a week at a time, sometimes with consecutive weeks of work on remote sites.
- Carry typical field equipment and work long days in all weather conditions.
- Collect GPS data and support data collection activities.
- Prepare field reports (preferred but not required).
- Collaborate with team members and demonstrate strong office skills such as teamwork and problem‑solving.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field.
- Academic exposure to, and/or limited experience in, wetland delineation, plant identification, and avian identification.
- Ability to identify common plant species found throughout the northeastern and/or midwestern United States.
- Familiarity with GPS and data collection.
- Strong office skills, teamwork, and an understanding of environmental regulations.
Hourly rate range: $21.63 to $26.44 (commensurate with experience). The anticipated seasonal base pay is hourly. The seasonal opportunity is approximately April/May through November, with possible extension beyond that range. The role is hourly and depends on workload.
