• Perform design and engineering work in various areas of the mechanical discipline, primarily heating, ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
• Work in industrial piping, plumbing, central utility plants, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, steam systems, and fire protection.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to produce final construction drawings and details.
• Develop conceptual designs and cost estimates for early stages of the project life cycle.
• Create design drawings using Revit 3D design software.
• Assess and design building ventilation systems based on requirements for heat removal in industrial spaces and indoor air quality.
• Use building modeling software to determine envelope heat gains/losses for HVAC equipment sizing.
• Specify mechanical equipment.
• Design plumbing and building utility piping systems.
• Summarize engineering results in written reports and/or presentations.
• Visit job sites as required, including day trips and overnight domestic trips.
• Adhere to Ramboll’s Project Execution Manual and Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or greater.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems.
• Experience designing large‑scale hydronic systems.
• Working knowledge of fire protection requirements for industrial facilities, including IFC, NFPA standards and FM Global guidelines.
• Desire to work in chemical, power, and industrial market segments.
