• Design building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems
• Assess existing site conditions and oversee field measurements
• Collaborate with clients to define project objectives, requirements, and available resources
• Conduct code analysis and ensure design compliance with applicable regulations
• Define and manage the engineering scope, budget, and schedule for each project
• Develop and coordinate Revit models using existing plans, documentation, and surveys
• Prepare engineering contract documents and calculations using CAD tools and electrical design software
• Select appropriate materials, equipment, and system components
• Review and verify technical accuracy and coordination of project documentation
• Develop project specifications and supporting documents
• Perform material quantity take-offs and assist in preparing cost estimates
• Stay current with electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices
• Review construction submittals for compliance with design intent
• Conduct periodic site visits during construction to monitor work and ensure adherence to construction documents

• 5–10 years of experience in electrical engineering design within the architecture/engineering industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; EIT certification required with active participation in a licensure development program
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for electrical design is required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of the International Building Code
• Project management and/or team leadership experience is a plus
