Mechanical Engineer

Our client is a long established architecture and engineering firm looking to add a senior Mechanical Engineer to its team. This role is focused on HVAC design for building projects and offers a strong mix of hands-on engineering work and project-level responsibility.

You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from evaluating existing conditions and developing designs to supporting construction and coordinating with internal teams and clients.

• Designing complete mechanical HVAC systems for building projects
• Evaluating existing conditions and conducting site measure-ups
• Collaborating with clients and internal teams to define project goals
• Performing code analysis and ensuring compliance with applicable standards
• Developing engineering scope, budgets, and schedules
• Creating and coordinating Revit models using existing documentation
• Preparing engineering calculations, drawings, and contract documents
• Selecting appropriate mechanical equipment, materials, and components
• Performing technical and coordination checks of project documents
• Developing project specifications and supporting documentation
• Performing quantity take-offs and preparing cost estimates
• Staying current with mechanical codes and standards
• Reviewing submittals and conducting site visits during construction
• Supporting project management efforts and mentoring junior staff

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of mechanical (HVAC) design experience in the A/E industry
• Strong proficiency in Revit;
  AutoCAD experience a plus
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or actively in progress
