Fire Sprinkler Layout Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Layout Technician to join our team. You will provide an essential part within our design team. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the success and quality of our fire protection installations.

• Layout:
  Design and layout fire sprinkler systems in accordance with all NFPA codes and Fire Marshal requirements. Utilizing Auto Sprink or similar software to create accurate and efficient sprinkler system layouts.
• Calculations:
  Perform all preliminary and final hydraulic calculations and size piping for fabrication and installation according to jobsite conditions.
• Project Turnover:
  Work with the Estimator/Project Manager for the transfer of project information, including estimated materials, preliminary designs, water flow information and architectural/mechanical construction documents.
• Surveying:
  Conduct site surveys and inspections as needed to gather necessary information for design purposes.
• Field Assistance:
  Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams during project execution.
• Data Entry and Record Keeping:
  Maintain accurate records of customer and project information in our CRM system.
• Other Duties:
  Perform other layout tasks as assigned by management.

• AutoCAD experience. (Auto Sprink/Hydra
  
  CAD experience preferred)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Understanding of fire protection terminology, a plus.
• NICET Level I-III certifications, a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications, a plus.

• HS Diploma or GED Required.
