Field Deployment Engineer — Low Voltage (Syracuse, NY)

We’re hiring a Field Deployment Engineer to lead the deployment and commissioning of advanced security and infrastructure solutions for mission‑critical clients at IK Systems
.

• Deploy and configure LAN, WAN, wireless, and point‑to‑point network solutions
• Rack, cable, and bring online servers, storage systems, and security infrastructure
• Configure IP cameras, access‑control hardware, and intrusion‑detection systems
• Install Windows OS, set up virtual machines, and prepare application servers
• Validate system performance through acceptance testing and documentation
• Troubleshoot across network, server, and field device layers
• Support technicians during installation and coordinate cutovers with project teams
• Provide customer training on system operation

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, IT, or related field – or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of hands‑on low‑voltage installation and commissioning experience
• Strong knowledge of IP networking (VLANs, routing basics, DHCP/DNS)
• Experience with Windows servers, virtualization, and storage fundamentals
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and wiring schematics
• Valid driver’s license required

• Industry certifications (BICSI, NICET, Cisco, Microsoft)
• Vendor platform experience (Genetec, Lenel, Axis, Bosch)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit
