Senior Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer role within GHD’s Engineering Design Organization located in the US Northeast region.

Our global network consists of architects, designers, planners, engineers, and environmental scientists all working toward the same goal.

• Coordinate and perform power studies, including Arc Flash analysis.
• Lead detailed design efforts for electrical power systems.
• Support proposal development through scope definition and engineering estimates.
• Prepare procurement specifications for electrical equipment.
• Develop comprehensive electrical construction documents.
• Design, review, and approve electrical design packages.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and project management for small‑ to medium‑scale projects.
• Create engineering drawings and lead major equipment installations.
• Analyze and specify design system processes for manufacturing or material processes.
• Lead engineering solutions design and validation processes.
• Manage client and customer relationships at both small and key client levels.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design of electrical power generation, distribution, and utilization systems; experience with industrial and municipal clients.
• Familiarity with ETAP or SKM computer‑assisted power study programs (short‑circuit, relativing coordination, arc‑flash).
• Working knowledge of NFPA
  70 (NEC), NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B and other electrical industry codes, standards, and recommended practices.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.

Salary range: $95,000–$188,000 based on experience & location.
