This position will perform the following activities as required:
- Develop kitchen drawings in Revit version as required by the client.
- Develop electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and special conditions drawings.
- Create detail, elevation, and isometric equipment drawings.
- Assist in creating equipment manuals.
- Review and coordinate specifications with drawings for building construction.
- Assist in submittal review of projects under construction.
- Managing projects from start to finish, communication with FSDS team and outside design teams, client interaction, job site visits, design meetings both virtual and in person, administrative tasks related to PM and project logs.
The design associate shall meet the following minimum requirements:
- High attention to detail
- Organized
- Flexible
- Able to multi-task
- Ability to understand, learn and apply mechanical components of the equipment.
- Proficient in Revit
- Experience with 3D modeling programs
- 5 years’ experience with Revit is preferred.
- Five years of experience in the Food Service Industry
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and able to learn industry specific programs such as Auto Quotes and KCL.
- A four-year degree in interior design, engineering, or architecture is preferred and work experience in one of these areas is preferred but not required.
The purpose of this position is to generate long-term revenue for the company by increasing the amount and quality of design we currently offer.
This position will be evaluated on performance regularly based on quality of work, efficiency, and accuracy of drawings, documents, and administrative tasks. You will also be evaluated based on ability to interact with clients.
This is a full-time position. A hybrid position is possible, but our preference is to be in our primary office in Liverpool, NY or our new Buffalo office.
This position will require occasional travel to job sites for meetings, field work, measurements, training, and conferences.
Compensation for this position will be based on relevant professional experience.
