Job SummarySt. Joseph’s Health is launching a premier, hospital-employed Orthopedic Surgery Program in Syracuse, NY. We are seeking a fellowship-trained, Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon with a specific interest or expertise in hip arthroscopy to join us as a founding member. This is a rare opportunity to influence the clinical direction and culture of a new program while benefiting from the robust infrastructure of Trinity Health.
Job DescriptionAs a cornerstone of our newly established orthopedic group, you will provide high-level surgical care specializing in sports-related injuries and advanced hip preservation. This role is designed for a surgeon who values autonomy, leadership input, and clinical efficiency.
- Clinical Focus: Sports medicine with a specialized emphasis on hip arthroscopy.
- Operational Efficiency: Operate out of a single hospital campus and a dedicated affiliated Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
- Team Structure: Benefit from dedicated Surgical PA support to maximize your time in the OR and improve patient throughput.
- Growth: Participate in the strategic expansion of the orthopedic service line within the Central New York region.
- Education:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. - Training:
Completion of an Orthopedic Surgery Residency and a Fellowship in Sports Medicine Surgery. - Specialization:
Demonstrated expertise or specialization in hip arthroscopy. - Certification:
Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Orthopedic Surgery. - Licensure:
Valid New York State medical license (or eligibility to obtain). - Experience:
Open to both experienced surgeons and new graduates looking to build a legacy.
We offer a highly competitive recruitment package designed to support your professional growth and personal well-being:
- Base Salary: $630,000 – $760,000 (Based on experience and qualifications).
