Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult
Setting: Hospital-based Cardiac Surgery
Responsibilities:
- Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures
- First assist in the operating room
- Provide perioperative care with some ICU/floor coverage
Required Procedures: - Chest tube insertions
- Retrieval of vascular tissue for bypass conduit
- OR first assist
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Cardiac surgery team
Days Per Month:
On-Call/Weekends: Not required (optional if desired)
Submission Requirements:
- NCCPA Certification Required
- Active New York PA License Required
- BLS & ACLS Required
- NPDB Self Query Required
