Position RequirementsAnesthesiologist opportunity in Syracuse, NY. Crouse Hospital is located in Syracuse, New York, and offers a variety of cases across the main hospital and three ASC sites within a one‑block radius. The anesthesia environment is collegial with supportive relationships among surgeons, OR staff, an excellent anesthesia tech support team, and a Pre‑Op Testing Center. No open‑heart surgeries.
Case AssignmentsGeneral, GYN, Bariatrics, Robotics, Ortho, Spine, Crani’s, Thoracic, Vascular, Urology/Renal, ENT, Eyes, Plastics, Podiatry, Endo, EP/Cath Lab, Healthy Peds.
Team LeadershipChief Anesthesiologist:
Venkatarao Kamani. Staff work in a care‑team model.
- Assist in directing and coordinating anesthesia department activities.
- Medical management of patients rendered unconscious for surgery and other procedures.
- Pre‑anesthesia assessment, obtaining/verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks.
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
- Monitoring patient physiological condition.
- Performing clinical interventions as needed.
- M.D./D.O. from an accredited College of Medicine.
- ECFMG and FLEX certification.
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
- Current physician license.
- CRNA’s encouraged to work to full scope including regional anesthesia.
Syracuse is a medium‑sized metropolitan area with restaurants, events, shopping, bars, casinos, and outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, golf. Short drive to the Adirondack Mountains, Thousand Islands, and Finger Lakes wine region. Major universities include Syracuse University and Upstate Medical University.
Total RewardsSalary: $600K
Sign‑on incentives (bonus with/without retention, training assistance, or loan repayment): $100K. Loan repayment or training assistance available.
