Gastroenterology- Physician - Syracuse, NY

St. Josephs Health, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking Gastroenterology Physicians for a Hospitalist Model for our new service eph's Health in Syracuse, NY.

Position Highlights:

• Serve as a GI Hospitalist, providing inpatient consults and performing procedures.
• Collaborate within a robust health system that is part of Trinity Health, one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic Health care systems in the nation.
• 7 on-7 off model
• Administration strongly supportive of GI department growth and vision
• Large network of primary care and specialty physicians
• Call for this opportunity is currently one weekend per month; affiliated groups provide evening and weekend coverage
• Hospital inpatient volume averages 15-20 patients and 3-7 new consults daily
• Resident teaching and clinical research opportunities

The practice is looking to foster and grow expertise in the following areas:

• Advanced Endoscopy - including EUS w/ therapeutics, Advanced ERCP skills, EMR/ESD and enteroscopy
• Inflammatory bowel disease
• Hepatology (non-transplant)
• Esophageal and rectal manometry

• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
